Mick Colquhoun announced at the AGM that he wishes to retire from the county recorder post at next year's AGM when his current term ends. He would be very pleased to talk to anyone interested in taking over this important role. It is a vitally important one in maintaining the county records, producing the club's annual report and contributing to the national picture of British bird life. Making a start before the change over is highly advantageous.
You need to be an averagely competent birder (not necessarily expert), be reasonably competent with computers and be capable of managing records and data efficiently. Enthusiasm is probably the most important thing.
