Our Field Meetings resumed in May 2021, with a booking system limiting numbers attending. Our Indoor Meetings until further notice will resume in September and either be by Zoom or at a venue TBD.
Meetings are held between September and March.
If Government guidance at that time allows, when possible we shall be holding them in a venue still TBD. If the meeting is to be held via Zoom, the Membership Officer will be sending out a Zoom link to all those who register. Specific info about each event can be found on our Calendar.
In times of adverse weather conditions or when meetings are outside the county, please contact the leader for an update. We shall endeavour to keep you informed on this website, but always best to check with the Leader.
For extra information about any field meeting contact the meeting Leader or Stephanie Greenwood at firstname.lastname@example.org. Ordnance Survey map references are given in notices of field meetings and members should take suitable food, clothing, a first-aid pack (and a torch for evening meetings) or as advised for individual meetings. Leaders are always pleased to welcome and help new members. Meetings notices will also advise on the level of difficulty of the walk, indicating distance and gradients.
Dogs should not be taken to any of the Field Meetings.
CAR-SHARING TO DISTANT MEETINGS:
The Committee suggests that distant meetings would be more environmentally friendly if some members would share cars for the journey. There would of course be a reduction in costs for any travelling members who participate in such a scheme. Please enquire with the meeting Leader or the Meetings Secretary next time you would like to join a Club outing to far off parts!
Leaders of Field Meetings have the right to abandon or change the meeting if in their opinion weather or some other factor would cause a hazard or render the venue unsuitable for the purpose on the day. Please make yourself known to the Leader on arrival. Should you wish to leave the party for any reason during the meeting do make this known to the Leader.
