Meetings are held between September and March.
Unless indicated otherwise, all indoor events are held at Holmer Parish Church Centre, Holmer, Herefordshire HR4 9RG.
The Centre is about 10 minutes by car from Hereford Train Station. Travelling south to Hereford on A49 turn right just past Holmer Church. Travelling North on A49 to Leominster leave Hereford at Roman Road roundabout and the hall is on the left approximately 50 yards beyond roundabout.
Further details, including a map, can be found at https://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/directory_record/1335/holmer_parish_church_centre.
When meetings are outside the county and in times of adverse weather conditions, please contact the leader for an update.
For extra information about any field meeting contact the meeting leader or Gerald Wells at firstname.lastname@example.org. Ordnance Survey map references are given in notices of field meetings and members should take suitable food, clothing, a first-aid pack (and a torch for evening meetings) or as advised for individual meetings. Leaders are always pleased to welcome and help new members. Meetings notices will also advise on the level of difficulty of the walk, indicating distance and gradients.
Dogs should not be taken to any of the Field Meetings.
CAR-SHARING TO DISTANT MEETINGS:
The Committee suggests that distant meetings would be more environmentally friendly if some members would share cars for the journey. There would of course be a reduction in costs for any travelling members who participate in such a scheme. Please enquire with the meeting Leader or the Meetings Secretary next time you would like to join a Club outing to far off parts!
Leaders of Field Meetings have the right to abandon or change the meeting if in their opinion weather or some other factor would cause a hazard or render the venue unsuitable for the purpose on the day. Please make yourself known to the Leader on arrival. Should you wish to leave the party for any reason during the meeting do make this known to the Leader.
