Olchon Valley - Early Migrants

We will look for early migrants such as: Cuckoo, Redstart, Tree Pipit, Wheatear and maybe Pied Flycatcher, stopping at various locations for short walks.

Lunch in cars.

We will end at Clodock which is a small village near Longtown in the Black Mountains (SO 3227) to look for possible Dipper.

Directions: Meet at the Darren’s car park (SO 297299) Olchon Valley. Head to Longtown. Drive through Longtown out on the Llanveynoe road and take the first turning left after leaving the village. This a narrow road which takes you over the Olchon brook, pass Great Turnant, over a cattle grid and park about five hundred yards further on.
