Do not worry, we have an alternative. Our chairman, Mick Colquhoun, will talk about bird boxes instead. This is his other major ornithological interest (after photography) and he will share details about the long running scheme he has had in central Wales since the 1970s. Be prepared for many photos of Pied Flycatchers, Redstarts and other nesting birds. Owls as well? Of course! Closer to home we have Swifts and Goosanders.
He will also tackle box construction in the light of his experience of maintaining boxes in one of the wettest areas of the UK for over 40 years. Doors will open around 7pm - come for tea or coffee beforehand.
